Dear Trevor,

You were most thoughtful to send me a battery-operated thesaurus and spelling corrector after you visited our offices last week. It is a most remarkable device and I have placed it in a prominent position on my desk, where I assure you it will get plenty of use. I write at least a dozen letters a day to friends and business associates. Since I am not the world’s best speller, I frequently have to look up words in my old, dog-eared dictionary, a time-consuming process. Now, thanks to you, I can eliminate that step with a mere push of the buttons and write more letters in less time.

We enjoyed our discussion, which should prove to be most fruitful for all of us, and we look forward to your next visit.

With best regards,
