Dear Recipient Name:

Thanks for your letter of 5 March, and for the samples of schoolbags in
polyester sent separately. I like these school bags, their quality, design and
fast attractive colors. I hope these would become soon popular among school
going students here if sincere and vigorous efforts are made coupled with
right kind of advertisement of which I think I am quite capable of. But in my
opinion your prices are too high even for these quality school bags in
polyester.

I will have to make special efforts to introduce and popularize these bags
among school-going students, and this means extra expenses on my part.
Therefore, if I accept the quotation of your prices, that would leave me with
no profit margin at all.

However, I may suggest you to allow me 40% trade discount instead of 30% on my
purchases so that I may have a reasonable profit margin on my sales. That can
certainly help me in placing a large order immediately. If you cannot allow me
this increased trade discount then I must politely decline your present offer.

Sincerely,

Your Name
