Dear Mr. Daniel,
One of my friends is a noted artist. He has a studio that is lined with award plaques, honor scrolls, medals, and other testimonials to his talents and finesse.
I have only a single award: the one your committee so graciously bestowed on me last week at the media presentation dinner. Yet I am more proud of what it means than my artist friend is of his whole roomful of honours. I say that from the heart. So thank you again for your recognition, and please pass along my appreciation to the others on your committee.
