Delays in serving guests

Dear Mrs. Comley,

You were very patient to put up with the service problems that plagued your outdoor buffet last Sunday, and I apologize again for having let you and your guests down. I should never have left the last-minute arrangements to my assistant who, though very conscientious, has not had enough catering experience.

I can assure you that such a defection will not occur again and hope that you will use our service in the future.
